– May 1977: three dozen red Glamour begonias were planted by the dogwood Garden Club of Queens Lake;
– November 1977: 150 Orange Emperor tulips from Holland were planted by the Williamsburg Garden Club.
– Summer 1978: Mrs. Robert Downey and her husband, “gave of their time all summer to keep the area cut, trimmed, and weeded. The Council is most appreciative of all that this fine couple did and most heartily thanks them for their loving care and for the great savings to the Council.”
